Homemade goodness at Rice and Fries!

I have been missing the poached salmon from Rice & Fries! And the mashed potato that comes along with it. Brought van down and after one mouth, she said "this is homemade mash" and indeed and that's what I love about it! It's not those instant ones and it still has bits of potato in it. Super yummy!

Van went for the crab risotto...

Also major thumbs up!

Always a good time and always like family at Rice & Fries!

Hunny Bunny July 2016 date night - Dream Home Blue Print

These days, I'm not the only busy one. Bunny is also getting really busy with work so I'm glad we managed to make time for our date night!

This month's scroll is as per below:

And it came along with a wild draw ....

In view of time and location, we decided to do it at Brawn and Brains!

Quiet little cafe at Guillemard where the old badminton association was...

Bunny said they are famous for their cold brew...

Which was indeed not bad! It's not overly sweet and not overly acidic. Just that if I were to compare to Old Hen, Old Hen's one is much better, stronger in flavour and a tad bit sweeter. But overall Brawn's one is far better than a lot of others.

We ordered the molten eggs to share and it was amazing!

The molten egg was topped with melted cheese, served with smoked salmon and avocado. It was a winning combo with rockets and very sweet cherry tomatoes on the side! We both loved it and will definitely be back again for this!

With the wild card where we took scores of the person who used the most "You" and "I", it was a hilarious session. Especially when it came to ordering, " what would you like? ", " I want a cold brew".

We end up speaking like we were a little retarded going really slow ... like... " order what? " and " cold brew more ice "

and most importantly, the polite " Thank YOU " hahahahaha

so did the session about the blue print of our dream house because we had to go like " i like it to be level one "... " i want a pool "... " i know you want this this this.. "

i started out tracking behind big time but very soon, bunny caught up with the "YOUs" and the "Is"

and completed our blue printed discussion...

after our 'date', we went on to a 'double date'. Meeting Ken and her friend King for dinner. Ken sort of wanted to give me a belated birthday treat and she chose Santa Fe Tex Mex Grill at Marina South Pier.....

the restaurant we at level 3 of the boat and it was a very interesting place to have dinner. The view was beautiful but not for those with motion sickness and a pity, bunny has it! haha

so dinner was a relatively quick affair.

King and Ken...

there was also live singing....

we ordered a truffle fries...

which wasnt fantastic.

the grilled pork belly.... the best item for the night!

the skin was crispy and i like that the bottom part was not overly marinated, it was pretty good though not the best. But best for the night.

sausage platter...

decent selection and taste.

the salmon was also not bad.

requested for truffle mash potato that was part of one of their meat platter but was no part of the sides on the menu. they came like this...

i know from the angle it looks bit but its seriously miserably small. haha.. its like two and a half table spoon or less and they charged us $6. something that i probably can finish in 2 mouths..... :(

some last few pictures before we left...

coz the bunny was getting a bad case of motion sickness!

and we adjourned for bingsu!!

Love my watermelon bingsu from here!

they had the mango one....

and bunny's favourite injoemi....

thank you very nice ken for the birthday treat!

Glad to be occupied

I'm glad to have a job and things to be occupied with.

I always believe that when one is too free, we tend to overthink which sometimes isn't beneficial for our emotional health.

And emotional health links up to affect many other aspects of our lives.

Dreams are subconscious mind readers

Are dreams our subconscious mind readers? I dream a lot and very surreal ones a lot of times.

Pink Marble Nails by Nail Haven

I seldom do gel nails Coz I'm just way too impatient to wait for the soak off. So when I do do it, I make sure it's worth the wait! I told Fiona of @nailhavensg to design something for me and she did this for me! I love it! It matches my daily outfits do well! Importantly, she uses good quality Japanese products which makes her gel nails super lasting!

Have u Just Drink yet?

Noticed this popping out on my social media recently and it's another craze!

Proudly brought to you by 7-11, sold out almost nation wide. Brought a lot of business to 7-11 coz I already hearsay a lot of people have been going 7-11 hopping just to get a bottle. Also hearsay the prices have been speculated to $15 a bottle online (Duno how true, hearsay only).

Said to cost only about $1 in Taiwan, charging at $2.80 here in Sg 7-11 and 抄到 $15!! Sounds like a must try! Esp since I'm a milk tea lover! I mean, it's so hard to resist Teh Peng!

So anyway I was so lucky, through a contact of mine, I managed to get a couple of bottles!

It's like wow finally got my hands on them!

Hehe sorry can Hao Lian a bit...

I tried the milk tea first...

While the milk tea was nice, to be honest I wasn't impressed. It was just a not bad Teh Peng.

But then the latte, that was amazing! The latte was so fragrant, can smell it even before consuming. We couldn't help but compare it to Old Hen's cold brew (which we really really like). Which this is a much cheaper alternative and much more accessible one (not now, after the craze is over).

And u know the biscuits on the top picture, there's a langue de chat. The white chocolate one is so good! Go check it out at ur next nearest 7-11!
